DWD_Week_14

Wow finally the final week has come and i cant put it in words how i feel rite now. hahaha oh ya by the way to all of you that dont know what's assalamualaikum, its what muslim people say when they greet each other. Just like hallo or good day in english but its assalamualaikum for us,Muslims.To all of my non-muslim friends who wants to know what's the meaning of assalamualaikum, it means may peace be upon you..!!

The day has come for our assignment presentation and i can't wait to finish it as soon as possible. Well it went well for the first three minutes of my presentation and after that you can see it clearly the word looser on my forehead!! During the presentation, when im showing to the class how my CMS looks like, everyone's was shock!!! i don't know how and when but my cms interface turn out to be the old one, the one that we did with miss lim in the lab, then as usual like normal people do, my heart starting to beat really quickly and the feeling of panic surrounded me with all of those sharp eyes looking directly at me. Honestly i think im gonna cry that time..and i dont want to tell you what happened after that. But what i can tell you that i mistakely brought the wrong file from my pc and when i double check it later the latest product was in my pc all along, it was just in a different folder...Hahahaha GOD still loves me,and i already uploaded the latest one to the VU server and also burn it into a new cd.

Hah what a relief..now that everything is finish for dynamic web development, i would like to present a thousand thanks to my beloved lecturer Miss Lim and my lovely classmates, and also to Mr.Luke, our VU lecturer for coming here and provided us with a lot of help for our assignments..

DWD_Week_13

Wah wah wah...hmm did i said that this week going to be the final exam on the previous post? My bad, its suppose to be next week,which is week 14!!

Well back to the serious stuff, for this week practial class, Miss Lim taught us about flash..on how to do the coding for the calculation part. Very very useful i tell you,since i already finish my flash interface a week ago and with what've i learnt this week i finish this assignment in about 5 - 6 hours!!
Cool!! Dont you think so?

By the way i havent touch my CMS yet, i think i better do some major overhaul to make it suitable with my flash...and er i think thats it for this week..

DWD_Week_12

Hah ha again!! hmm actually im quite bored here cuz its 3 in the morning and
i cant sleep and suddenly i realize that i havent update my blog and here i
am doing this thing again wa LAHH..

For this week lecture, Miss Lim explain about career path's that we can to
choose upon graduation. Well basically there's a wide varierty of multimedia
fields that we can pursue based on what interest us the most for example
animation, special effect and etc. And then how to do an ePortfolio for
later use.

And during the practical class, as usual continue doing the handout given
last week which are allrecord.php , view.php and others that i lazy to write
it down now..All of this stuffs are vital for our 2nd assignment.

One more week before the final exam...Hah ha, i just want to finish this
assignment fast and start studying for the finals...and then enjoying the
holiday in a very peace kind of way!! See ya.

DWD_Week_11

Wow its the 11th week already and im getting excited because this term going to end soon and the submission of the 2nd assignment is getting nearer.. :(

Anyway for this week class, we learnt on how to get ideas and inspiration in
Miss Lim lecture class. Well its quite useful but i havent practice it out yet
due to the lazyness disease that i have since child. Besides that we were
ask to do a tutorial handout which is also help us a lot for the 2nd
assignment by Miss Lim.

And after that we also create the guestbook thingy. Design it in flash and
then publish it to swf file and uploaded it. Well it work out perfectly
after a little help from my friends in debugging the problems that occur
hehe...

DWD_Week_10

Wow, its been a wonderful holiday for me and i hope for the others too..

Hmm lets get back to the real thing shall we..

Ok for this week, miss lim taught us on building our content management system..like er connecting php codes to mySQL database and also on how to insert, view as well as editing it in a database. All of this is required in our 2nd assignment.

Besides that, all of us were given our own database table number, means that we going to burn the midnight oil again.

Well thats everything we learnt if im not mistaken, and for next week class she mentioned that we're going to learn on how to integrate flash with mySQL. Thats everything for this week.

DWD_Week_9

Holiday's coming and i can't wait to celebrate Aidilfitri. Its been a very tiring month for me with all the assignments and exercises that we need to hand in..well i deserve this holiday and the rest of the class too.

Basically this week, i didnt learn much but its still useful, Miss Lim taught us on how to request data from a text file in flash and she also explained about mail function, and she was quite suprised that some of us already knows about the mail function cuz we used it in the 1st assignment for extra marks.

Well thats it for this week, gotta run, my family's waiting for me to celebrate this wonderful holiday. So happy holiday everyone and Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri !!!

DWD_Week_8

For this week, we learnt how to use MySQL with PHP, well honesly its not that hard cuz we're learning MySQL as well this term.

Basically Miss Lim taught us how to connect php pages to SQL database, then how to edit, delete and add records to that database as well as connect to it.

Ohh ya..she also mentioned about the final project, that all of us (students) already have a standardized form that Mr Luke created.

DWD_Week_6_&_7

For this particular week i've learn alot about PHP through the first assigment. The visit from Mr.Luke was extremely helpful. He help us a lot by giving some cool tips on how to score for the first assignment like form validation, inserting images, results will be send to user's email and etc.

Besides that Mr.Luke also showed us some good examples of the first assignment done by the Australian students in Victoria University and it really gave us a lot of ideas on how and what to do with our assignment, and from my point of view, the most beneficial of all from what Mr.Luke gave us is the free photo site - http://www.sxc.hu/ - it's the best free photo site that i've visited so far and most all the pictures in my assignment are from there.

Last but not least, Mr.Luke have done a very good job in helping us and its a bit sad for me that he has to go back so early, i hope that he can stay longer and maybe help us on our second assignment heh heh heh well hope that he will pay another visit to Sunway University in the future.

DWD_Week_5

Hah ha!!Finally i manage to attend Friday class (hehe i missed the first hour of class actually) Nevermind that. Anyway just like usual, Miss Lim gave us tutorial week 5 for homework and also she wants us to upload what we have done in the lab to our own ftp folder using the FileZilla thingy..hehe

Besides that, this week lesson are quite interesting..we learnt about cookies and how to save our lab exercises on the wwwroot file and view them through localhost. The best part is that Mizz Lim gave me a second chance to view an example of the assignment that we have to hand in next week(cuz i missed last week class remember) and also some useful tips on how to do the first assignment like how many pages do we have to create and how to name them, etc.

Finally we got our ftp access on the lab, which means that we can try out what we've learnt so far. And suprisingly its not that bad for my first try, but i still need a lot of practise to do coz there's a lot of coding to be memorize and get familiar with. Hope everything will get better soon for me.

DWD_Week_4

Its the 3rd week already and its still quite difficult for me to coupe up with this subject. Nothin much to say actually b'coz i miss the friday combine class (again) due to my never ending problems, but i still have faith cuz im used to this kind of situation and im full of confidence that i will master this subject in 2- 3 weeks time....hehe ;)

Well lucky for me that i have wonderful classmates that always updated me about what i missed in class. For this week we learnt on how to retrieve data from a form, the difference between GET and POST and also the advantages and disadvantages of a new command called REQUEST.

Finally Mizz Lim also briefed us on XSS (Cross-Site Scripting) and ask us to find out more on it just for more understanding. Well that's it for this week, i hope that i can get used to php programming language as soon as possible before i start the first assignment...YEAH!!!
